Wisconsin Family Planning Waiver (FPW)

The Family Planning Waiver (FPW) is a Medicaid Program for women between 15 and 44 years of age. It covers selected family planning services and supplies. The Family Planning Waiver and the Wisconsin Medicaid program are administered by the Department of Health and Family Services (DHFS)

Wisconsin Well Woman Program (WWWP)

Provides preventive health screening services to women with little or no health insurance coverage. Well Woman pays for mammograms, Pap tests and certain other health screenings. The program is administered by the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services, Division of Public Health, and is available in all 72 Wisconsin Counties and 11 tribes. Well Woman pays for certain screenings for some of the most common women's health concerns.

BadgerCare

BadgerCare is a health insurance program for low-income working families with children. It provides coverage for families with incomes too high for Medicaid who are without access to health insurance.

Wisconsin WIC Program

The purpose of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is to promote and maintain the health and well-being of nutritionally at-risk pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants and children. WIC provides supplemental nutritious foods, nutrition and breastfeeding information, and referral to other health and nutrition services. WIC promotes and supports breastfeeding.

Prenatal Care Coordination (PNCC)

A Medical Assistance funded program which helps women begin early and continue prenatal care. The program helps pregnant women and, when appropriate, their families gain access to medical, social, educational, vocational, and other services related to the pregnancy. Services are available to Medicaid-eligible pregnant women with a high risk for adverse pregnancy outcomes during pregnancy through the first 60 days following delivery

The BadgerCare Prenatal Program provides health care for pregnant women who have been denied Wisconsin Medicaid because of their immigration or citizenship status, or who are inmates in prison or jail.

Healthy Start

Healthy Start is a Medicaid Program that pays for medical care for pregnant women, babies, and children under 19 years of age. It covers most babies until they are one year of age, even if the family’s income increases. Families with health insurance may apply.

Birth Certificates - Obtaining Medicaid Documentation

Under the new Deficit Reduction Act, states must now require all current and new Medicaid beneficiaries applying as citizens to provide proof of their citizenship through a birth certificate or passport. Participants would also have to produce identification, such as a driver’s license. Birth certificates can be obtained by contacting your County's Register of Deeds.
