Women's Health Policy in Wisconsin

Women's Health Policy includes policies that affect women's access to care, focusing on private insurance, Medicaid, and reproductive health measures.

During the 2005-2006 session, the Wisconsin Legislature considered 22 bills that specifically sought to restrict access to women’s health care, including birth control and prenatal care. These measures made headway despite strong public opinion opposing such limitations.
