Taxpayer Protection Amendment (AJR 77)

Email To A Friend
Because of the strict limits on state and local revenues, the Taxpayer Protection Amendment would result in a loss of critical state and local services for the residents of Wisconsin, including access to health care under Medicaid programs like BadgerCare and SeniorCare. In addition, the amendment would create permanent revenue shortages through a constitutional amendment making it impossible for the legislature to address the ensuing crisis that would inevitably result without another constitutional amendment.
Introduced by: Representatives Wood, Honadel, Huebsch, Gard, Pridemore, Strachota, Kerkman, Nass, Lothian, F. Lasee, J. Fitzgerald, Gundrum, Hundertmark, Jensen, Musser, Pettis, Nischke, LeMahieu, Vos, Kleefisch, Gunderson, Newcomer, Kestell, Vukmir, Suder and Montgomery; cosponsored by Senators Grothman, Lazich, Darling, S. Fitzgerald, A. Lasee, Kedzie, Kanavas, Zien, Leibham, Reynolds, Schultz and Stepp.
